
Kevin R. McClelland
Chief Executive Officer
Kevin started his career in the financial services industry in 2008, after receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Providence College in Finance and Economics. Kevin began his career with Pinnacle Capital Management’s affiliate, Pinnacle Investments, as a Business Analyst. Kevin Joined Pinnacle Capital Management in 2010 as a Financial Analyst, taking on the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer in 2012. In 2022, Kevin was named Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Capital Management.
In addition to his roles at Pinnacle Capital Management Kevin serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the 1789 Growth and Income Fund, a mutual fund for which PCM serves as the adviser. Kevin serves as Vice President of The Syracuse Parks Conservancy Non-Profit Organization. Kevin and his wife Heather reside in Manlius, NY.

Stephen J. Fauer, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Stephen J. Fauer, CFA is Pinnacle Capital Management’s Chief Investment Officer and principal Portfolio Manager. He has served in these roles since Pinnacle Capital Management’s founding in 2006, overseeing all separately managed and mutual fund portfolios totaling in excess of $100 million in assets. Steve is also responsible for coordinating and supervising the research efforts of his investment team.
Having earned his B.S. degree from Michigan State University in 1980, Steve began his investment career in 1981 as a Junior Investment Analyst with J&W Seligman & Co. in New York City. Taking mostly evening courses, he earned his M.B.A. degree from New York University in 1984, and subsequently went on to earn his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1987. In addition to his current position at Pinnacle Capital Management, Steve has held investment leadership positions at Strategic Investments, Manning & Napier Advisors, and J.W. Burns & Co.
Over his 30 year career, Steve has developed an investment philosophy designed to identify companies positioned for success within their current competitive and economic environments. He then overlays a pricing discipline which adds a value element to this approach. This philosophy now forms the basis of Pinnacle Capital Management’s core investment strategies. As Steve puts it, our objective is to “get out of the way of negative events, get in the way of positive events, and not pay a whole lot of money for that privilege.”

Paul A. Tryon, CFA
Principal, Senior Portfolio Manager
In the fall of 2016, Paul Tryon, CFA joined PCM in overseeing client portfolios as a Principal, and Senior Portfolio Manager. Mr. Tryon has almost 20 years of experience in investment banking, securities research and portfolio management, including managing over $700 million in assets as Director of Investments at his previous firm. In addition to his membership in the CFA Institute, Paul is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Paul currently manages PCM’s newest separately managed account strategy, the PCM Dividend Income Growth — US strategy.
Paul and his wife Joey, a practicing physician, have three children. Paul is a sports enthusiast, having run five marathons and played football for four years at his alma mater, Yale University. When not chasing down good investments or his three high-energy boys, Paul has been known to perform occasionally in a cappella ensembles.

John P. Buss
Financial Advisor (Pinnacle Investments)
John joined Pinnacle Investments in January of 2020 but began in the investment industry in 2012 with a global financial services firm. John approaches client relationships with a desire to learn, collaborating with individuals and businesses to develop comprehensive financial plans and investment strategies. Through a clearly defined planning process, John works to identify specific goals and implement action steps, then will review regularly to evaluate progress.
John is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) General Securities Representative (Series 7), State Securities Agent & Registered Investment Advisor Representative (Series 66), and NYS Insurance Licensed for Life, Accident & Health.
John and his wife Lisa live in Tully, NY in an 1890 farmhouse with their two children, Evelyn and Harrison.

Joshua Kimber, CFP®

Josh began his career in the financial services industry in 2015 and has a background in tax and financial planning. He works with a team of advisors with a focus on servicing and educating participants in retirement plans across New York state. In addition to financial planning, Josh focuses on the retirement space, as well as the 401(k), 403(b), and deferred compensation space. Josh is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) General Securities Representative (Series 7), FINRA Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Representative (Series 6), State Securities Agent (Series 63), and is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner.

Michael Monashefsky
Financial Advisor (Pinnacle Investments)
Michael was born in Syracuse and lived in Fayetteville-Manlius up until attending the University at Buffalo for college. He graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in History and after graduation, moved back to Syracuse and began working for Bank of New York Mellon within Custody Client Services. At BNYM Michael assisted a multitude of clients (Banks, Treasury Offices, other Financial Institutions) in their day-to-day global and domestic asset servicing needs. In 2021, Michael joined the team here at Pinnacle Investments as a CSA and in 2022 he became a Financial Advisor. In his spare time, he loves attending Syracuse University football and basketball games, as well as making trips up to the Adirondacks to hike and enjoy the mountains.
